Cobweb clearing πΆβπ«οΈ
As I wind up another commissioned assignment, I come face-to-face again with that familiar foe: Unstructured time!!
As my 30s hurtle past, I find myself being increasingly CHOOSY about what to work on whilst being increasingly GREEDY about wanting to work on many things.
Some desires:
- Build a podcast
- Build a newsletter
- Sell my first feature
- Move out of the city
- Be near family (specially my 10y old, Milo πΆ)
Right now, I'm working hard to figure the order in which I do these things. Lots of variables to consider, so I'm taking my time with it.
Highlights Pod
A side-project I'm investing in heavily right now is a new podcast called Highlights.
Each episode distills the best ideas from the best books i've read - one book at a time.
The benefits are two-fold:
For me - it's an opportunity to deepen my learning. For you - I distill the best ideas in the book, saving you several hours of your time.
It's heavily inspired by what David Senra does with Founders Podcast. Give it a try if you're into learning the histories of the world's greatest entrepreneurs.
A Feature Film
I just completed the fourth draft of my first feature. It's called Pocoloco Alexander. It's a comedy. Now I'm working on the lookbook. Once I'm done, I'd like to raise funds and shoot the film.
On the learning front π
1. Deutsch. On Duolingo. Currently on the B1 level.
2. Derek Sivers. I'm blown away by the ideas in How To Live. In fact, this page was originally his idea.
3. Podcasting heroes. I'm shamelessly cloning the best practices of podcasting from Tim Ferris, David Senra and the Acquired pod guys. I love them!
